We are looking for a Marketing trainee based in Shanghai.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Communication Manager in Greater China, you will contribute to the development of company marketing communication activities in order to achieve optimum customer reach and branding through all distribution channels.
Main duties
Following the guidance given by the Central Marketing team (based in Beijing) for company, you will be in charge of the following marketing and communication activities for our Shanghai office:
− To support and arrange follow ups for local promotions and events.
− To be responsible for marketing promotional materials storage and distribution.
− To follow-up Shanghai marketing budget spending and ensure approval of spending by the Marketing Communication Manager.
− To assist the Marketing Communication Manager in all activities where Shanghailocal input or coordination is needed.
Qualifications required
− Student with University specialization in Communication and/or Marketing
− Linguistic competencies:
o Mandarin: fluency is mandatory
o English : excellent command both written and spoken - the working language is English
o French: an advantage but not required
− Excellent use of the Microsoft Office tools
− Capacity to work in a multicultural environment
− The successful candidate will be innovative and creative with great team spirit. This role requires drive and initiative, concern for excellence, and flexibility skills.
Duration& location
− Length of the mission: 1 year – 3 working days per week minimum
− Starting date: as soon as possible.
− Location: Shanghai

China Communications Intern
The role reports to Winnie Tong, Communications Manager Greater China and will primarily support communications and PR activities for the region. The responsibilities include:
· International Media Famil Programme (IMP)
o Coordinate on flight arrangements, preparation of any company background and brand related information, briefing to relevant parties on media departure flights, any special arrangements required for the media on-board or in the company.
· Media List
o Work with the Communications Manager to put together/ update an A list of media contacts and include information of email address/ mobile information to be used for press release distribution and events.
· Events
o Provide support for media and consumer events including following up on invitations, RSVPs, coordinating with crew team for crew assistance, preparing press and event materials, working with internal/ external teams on any pre event preparation.
· Administrative
o Consolidate updates for the monthly Across Asia newsletter
o Maintain an update on company/ brand profiles, GM profiles, list of awards, photographs
o Consolidate coverage reports on press releases and events prepared by the PR agency
o Review and check translations on press releases, preparing relevant images to be used for press releases and coordinating with PR agency.
Mandatory qualifications:
l Competent written and verbal skills in English and Mandarin
l PC Literacy in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
Decisive and self starting attitude with energy and motivation to be effective in a very demanding environment.
